David Abbott

David Abbott began his career as an advertising copywriter, working in-house at Kodak after discovering a book on advertising on a market stall on Madison Avenue. He went on to found one of the U.K.'s outstanding advertising agencies, Abbott Mead Vickers and was widely recognized as one of the industry's most deservedly celebrated creative directors. The Upright Piano Player was his first and only novel. He died in 2014.
